De las mentes detrás de la película Searching surge MISSING, un emocionante thriller que cuenta la historia de la desaparición de una madre (Nia Long) en Colombia al irse de vacaciones con su nuevo novio. June (Storm Reid), quien está en Los Angeles, tendrá la dificil tarea de encontrar a su madre y aprovechará todos sus recursos al máximo para lograrlo, aun estando a kilómetros de distancia.
«Vivimos en la era de las redes sociales”, dice la actriz Storm Reid, quien interpreta el papel de June. “Todo está en nuestros teléfonos. Toda la información está en la punta de nuestros dedos. Experimentar una película en la que usas todas las plataformas de redes sociales que la gente suele usar para resolver un misterio es una combinación mágica”.
Pero, ¿cómo fue la experiencia de producir una película como MISSING? “Una de las primeras cosas de las que noté cuando dirigí Searching, fue que todos los días había otra aplicación u otro sitio web que permitía la conexión humana de una manera nueva», comentó la productora Aneesh Chaganty. «Nos dimos cuenta de que mientras la tecnología evolucione todos los días, nuestras posibilidades de narración seguirán avanzando con eso. El concepto ha evolucionado, hay más adrenalina en la historia y es una experiencia más fresca y rápida que la primera”, concluyó.
Storm Reid (June), quien destaca en la película es actriz, productora y estudiante en la Universidad de California, USC. Reid es una cara nueva y se ha convertido en una de las actrices jóvenes más solicitadas de Hollywood.
